  1. Jermayn Says:

Have heard mix reactions about this movie, apparently it has flopped in the US as well…

Heard Kidman was robotic and Jackmans role was a bit bland but the best parts was the Aboriginal half cast boy and the head villain.

Thinking Crocodile Dundee will remain the top Aussie Flick.

Very suprised that this one didn’t last more than one week at the nuber one spot.

Oprah endorsed this one so it should have done better.

  3. Jermayn Says:

Guess it just shows how much of a dud this movie really is…..

I see in various adverts now, they have got people talking how good it really is, seems to me they are getting desperate to try and get people to watch it.

I personally wont be watching it at the movies, 3 hours is too long for me. I have not personally spoken to anyone who enjoyed it.

I got a chance to watch this one.

I believe its the second most popular Aussie Movie at the Box Office after Croc Dundee.

I don’t know why there was so much negative publicity. It was a great story line with great actors. I guess I was expecting much so it was very good. The story was old style I wish there was more of it. It reminded me of some of the classics.

Historically it was completly wrong ( Japans forces never landed in Australia) There was lots of other things that were made up.

But if I wanted to watch i doco on the bombing of Darwin I would Great movie makes you think.

    4/5
